Wedding

I am so excited to share Marlee and Greg’s Florida wedding with you on the blog today! I’m actually not even sure where to start because there were so many “firsts” from their wedding. This was my first wedding to travel out of state for, my first wedding to have the bride wear a koala mask during the first look, and my first wedding to have a dinosaur chase the bridal party. 😉

Marlee and I taught together while I was still teaching. I remember this time last year sitting in my classroom with her and listening to all of her plans and dreams for her wedding day. She showed me pictures of the venue and walked me through how she wanted everything set up. I can without a doubt say that it was just how she envisioned plus MORE! It was the most perfect day! When Marlee asked me to travel to Florida to photograph her wedding I was so excited! Not only because I was going to get to go to Disney World (yay!) but because I knew how perfect she was going to make her day and that she wanted me to capture it. I was so honored that she chose me to be her photographer. There are so many options out there and I am so grateful! <3

I remember sitting down with Marlee and Greg at our initial consultation and hearing about their story. They both love Disney so Greg proposed at Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella’s Castle. So dreamy and so perfect for them! While we were talking, Greg told me he only had one request for the wedding. When he told me all he wanted was a bridal party shot of a dinosaur chasing them I about fell out of chair with laughter! Done, Greg. I got you! Check out that one towards the end of the post. 😉

These two are hilarious! No matter what you can always count on them for a great laugh. Not just any laugh but like a big ‘ol belly laugh! I mean, Marlee wore a koala mask for their first look. Do I need to say more? Ha!! Greg has a really awesome pose he likes to do. He called it the backwards over the shoulder look. They both have obviously been practicing that one. You can find that one below too. 😉

Not only are Marlee and Greg funny but they are also super sweet and caring. The love that they have for each other is so evident and all I could do was smile (and maybe wipe a tear or two) while they were saying their vows. Marriage is a huge commitment and they both explained to each other that they would always be there for one another no matter what. In front of all of their family and friends they tied the knot and are ready to spend the rest of their lives together!

Marlee and Greg, thank you both SO much for having me capture your most special day! I am so happy that I was able to be there to celebrate you two. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I hope you enjoy the rest of your honeymoon! Love you guys!

Special thanks to Stephanie Horsley for coming out and helping me throughout the day!
